TERRIBLY EXCITING JEREMY DICKINSON NEWS
Monday, October 3, 2011 at 07:29AM An exciting development since the 2010 AAF has been the increased worldwide interest in the work of Jeremy Dickinson. In addition to one man shows in the San Francisco, Los Angeles and Tokyo, more than 20 of Jeremy’s paintings sold at this year’s Art Basel.
The past 12 months have also seen some of Jeremy’s work sold very successfully at major auction houses in the U.S.A. and U.K. A larger work (92x107cm) sold at Sotheby’s for $20,000 (estimate $6-8,000) and two smaller works (25x30cm and 30x40cm) sold for $7,500 (estimate $3-5,000) and £5,000 (estimate £4-6,000) respectively.
This interest will be further heightened by a major 4 page editorial feature on Jeremy’s paintings in the forthcoming January 2012 issue of BBC Homes and Antiques magazine, available in December, which will identify them as ‘Antiques of the Future’.
I am delighted that we have around 15 new paintings by Jeremy available immediately. Most of these will be exhibited at the AAF, but we also have five large paintings which go beyond the £4,000 top price for this show. In all cases, NBA’s prices are significantly below those achieved at the recent auctions, making them not only very desirable works of art but also great investments. Jeremy’s work is sure to sell out quickly so if you are interested please get in touch with me before the AAF on kay@newbritishartists.co.uk
