Lesley Colebrook
From the artist
“My work explores the connection between time, place and memory and focuses on transferring images into kiln formed glass designs. The reflective qualities and transparency of glass gives a brilliant depth and texture that no other material will allow and also helps to animate the stories I want to tell. I combine my own photographic images, old and new, onto layers of coloured glass to produce an individual, vibrant piece of art. Most of my fine art work is in the form of wall panels."

Most of my fine art work is in the form of wall panels.
I am inspired by personal and collective memories of the British coast and seaside and my work is based on imagery that documents historical and social changes of the typical English seaside town. Different moods are conveyed which can be poignant, nostalgic or fun. My distinctive glass designs can be tailored to meet individual commissions creating unique personal artwork that can capture family stories and memories. Alternatively, business clients can commission site specific pieces, recording the achievements, identity and history of the company".
